<p>just got offered admission to UC Merced via email.... now i feel bad.</p>

<p>Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with going to Merced. It’s still a UC. However, I wouldn’t suggest accepting it if you think you would be unhappy there.</p>
<p>don’t feel bad…UC Merced is still a UC.It just haven’t gotten the recognition.Sadly,it will take some 40 years or so that they gain more reputable recognition.I say if you don’t like it,don’t go.For example,I got accepted to Cal Poly Pomona before but even though the school has quite an impressive engineering department, I just didn’t felt right.Going to an okay UC has always been my goal since I started CC.Transfer to where you think you should be.</p>
