I am getting tired of waiting and want to be accepted into at least one UC for backup.</p>
<p>They usually get around 18k applications (maybe more this year).</p>

<p>It takes time to read 18k applications and give them all some thought. If they finished way before the other uc’s you’d have people bugging the other uc’s asking why they can’t release decisions as fast as Merced.</p>
