UC Online Application not open yet?

Are the UC online applications open yet? Can someone link me to them because I'm unable to find them. Also, are the online applications exactly the same as the paper form applications? Do all of the UCs have the same online/ paper application and is it possible to send one of these to multiple UCs (similar to common app)?

Do you guys reccomend the common app or the applications used specifically for schools you are planning on attending? Also, do colleges lower your chances if you send them a common applications?

I was looking at the statistics for UCs, and for the 8,000 students who were admitted only 4,000 enrolled! Is this true for most colleges? Is that why colleges also seek students who they know will enroll at their colleges (i.e. EA/ED)?

Thanks! :)

The UC application goes up for a month (in October or so I think) then goes away again. You have to fill it in online then. I don't know if you can get a sample. You just check a box for each campus where you want to be considered, and pay a fee for each.
My guidance counselor said that P'ton really didn't care if you used their application or not, and she knew kids who got in using the common ap, but I ended up not applying there. My teacher only used the common application rec form for all my schools, and that seemed to be fine -- i.e. I was accepted at Stanford, Harvard and Columbia.

The UC app comes online in October, and the filing period is November 1-30.

The online application should be exactly like the paper forms.

Yes, they all have the same application. When you go to apply, you will fill out one application, and then you will check off which colleges you're applying to (Berkeley, UCLA, etc.).

It really doesn't matter. Colleges opt to the Common App for your convenience.

No, it's not. It varies depending on the college, though about a 50% yield is very good, rather normal for the top colleges. The super elites, though, will have about a 66%+ yield. Some top colleges, such as Chicago, have lower yield rates, in the 30s. The vast majority of colleges have much lower than 50%.

Partly, yes. It helps the college to gauge how many students are going to come, how many they should accept RD, etc.

UC applications go up october. However, you won't be able to submit them until november rolls around. November 30th is the deadline for submitting.

Thanks for your replies guys!

Wait... I thought most application deadlines for schools were Dec/Jan? Why are the UC applications so early? Does that mean you will only be able to take the Oct and Nov SAT Is and IIs?? Do the schools have different policies on when to send the SAT scores or do you need to subimt all of them along with your applicaiton?

Do you send the scores via Collegeboard.com?? College board says they send them out 2 days after request for EA/ED and the regular few weeks for RD?
