Well I'm a senior and really want to get into UCSB or UT austin.

My GPA weighted: 3.97
SAT: 530 CR 590 M 540 W
ACT 23
( do schools take scores into consideration a lot?)
I have over 600 community hours. (helped out in public library, animal shelters, and food bank)
I'm in 12 clubs.
(Most of them are organizations that help the community) 2 of them are National Honors Societies
Used to be in colorguard until junior yr.
I have mostly As.
Currently taking 3 AP classes.
Also just took Subject Tests: MII &MI and Lit.
Do I have a chance?

I do not know anything about UT Austin but UCSB and the other UCs put the greatest emphasis on high school GPA when making admission decisions so you certainly have a chance with a 3.97. They put less emphasis on SAT scores but still consider them fairly important and would probably not admit a student with a high GPA but really low SAT scores. Your Scores are typical of most students admitted to UC Merded, UC Riverside and most of the CSUs but are well below the average for UCSB. While your SAT scores might put you in the bottom 25% of students accepted at UCSB, unless you are a recruited athelete or have some other unique talent or characteristic that is of particular value to UCSB you can not compare yourself with those students. I would put your chance of acceptance at UCSB at around 50%. I think your chances would be close to 100% at UC Merced or UC Riverside.
