UC Personal Statement 30 minute time crunch?

I was filling out the application and I came across the personal statement part.
I landed one the introduction page and I was so freaked out about the whole 30-minute time limit thing that I logged out.
Does this mean that the 30 minute count down started?
I'm so worried....
HELP?!?!?!?!?!

I didn’t click on the “next” button…

No. It just means that if you stay for 30 minutes on that page, then you will be automatically logged out and your work won’t be saved. They recommend that you write your essays in word or some other tool and then copy and paste them into your application.

The time limit is probably just for security reasons.

So pretend I got on the Personal Statement 1 page. Then do I get to edit it the next time I log on? Or is it just a one- time thing?

You can edit it unlimited times. It’s just easier to write it in Microsoft Word or Google Docs then copy your essay over later.

WHEW! Thank you nagintapls!!! I was so worried that I wouldn’t be able to edit it.
So every time I open the PS page, it’s 30 min per page, and after I log on again, I could edit again right?

Yup.

I spent all of July for my UC essays now I have to give it to the AP English professor at my high school for feedback (in theory its going to suck)
