So is the 600/200/200 set in stone? Can we do, say, 550, 250, 200? How about 550, 300, 150?

(I hope those numbers add up.)

I'm pretty sure it's not set in stone. I remember reading somewhere that it was only a "suggestion."

I think it's " better safe than sorry."

I'm having the same problem. So far I have 610, 260, and _______. Think I should leave it? Cuz I honestly tried to cut down 260 to 200, but it won't work without changing the essay.

Advice?

Just leave it at 260 if those are 260 words with only a few adjectives, adverbs, and conjunctions. Else, cut those out.

Currently mine are 500/250/250 hopefully it will be alright

yup. same problem. Im at 498/298/198

My friend did 450/150/350 for a total of 950, and he got into UCLA and Berkley. Interpret as you wish. As long as they are good they won't care. It's not like the officers are going be counting words.
