UC President Napolitano to cap OOS enrollment at UCB and UCLA

Just heard today that Napolitano will cap enrollment for out of state students for UC Berkeley and UCLA. This is supposedly because of the high amount of California residents who are being displaced to other schools because of the amount of OOS students being admitted and enrolling in the 2 flagship UC campuses. Apparently the other UC campuses aren’t affected.

Additionally, she stated that she’ll cap enrollment as a whole at current levels unless the state ups the budget for UC.
