UC Prompt 1 question about the dreams/aspiration part

The prompt is as follows:

Describe the world you come from — for example, your family, community or school — and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations.

I was a bit confused as to should the personal statement be reflective of your intended job, major, what you want to do?

Truthfully I don't have many options as for what to write about haha so I'm a bit limited on what is available to write about but for example, I am leaning towards psychology or business major but I would have written about something like this

I was not very active in high school sports and groups. I was in a few clubs, had a few positions but nothing major like the football team. However that changed when I made it my goal to find something I really enjoyed. (From here on I would explore my various activities - Kung Fu, Track and Field, and maybe one more (if needed) then go on to explain how I joined choir and really liked it, got to know more people, perform on stage, etc.

Not sure if it would be a good idea to write about something that doesn't really lead to the shaping dreams and aspirations so what do you guys think?

I had an idea, would it be better to write about just choir (the main activity that I fit in, enjoyed, etc) then shortly mention the other activities I joined to find what I actually did like?

I have been following this person’s blog; she seems to have good advice and information about the UC application process.
