UC prompt #1...should it be specific?

Hi everyone,

UC prompt #1 is "Describe the world you come from- your family, community or school- and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations."

When describing "the world you come from," should we be specific and just use one experience? Or should we use a string of experiences but tie them together so they're not all over the place?

For example, I want to be a veterinarian when I grow up...my dreams and aspirations are helping animals. In describing "my world," should I talk about how the world I come from is all animal-related...like I have 5 pets, I volunteer, I love the Animal Planet. Or should I just talk about one experience- my job at the animal rehabilitation center?

I would say the former, though this could be taken in either direction (I think the broadness of the prompt is intended). Your work at the center could be incorporated into it, though.

Thank you for your reply.
