I'm applying to a lot of the UC's, including cal and LA, and I want to make sure that my topics are appropriate. please let me know if these topics are a little contrived or don't answer the question. which topic would be best to write about? i'm applying as a chem engineering major, and i'm female.

for the uc prompt 1 (your world and aspirations)
1. so the main idea of my essay is going to that I want to see (=) for women in the science and engineering fields. I start with my mom's struggles getting equal pay and respect (she's a computer teacher), continue to how at a tech summer camp i was the only girl and how that made me feel, and then i continue to some inspirational organizations i've participated in, like NCWIT and GTGTC. i feel like this accurately represents my dreams, but i'm not sure how i'd define my "world". it's more like a bunch of experiences.

the other option i could do for this prompt is a straight up talk about my involvement in robotics and how that made me realize i wanted to be an engineer because i love to build. it doesn't address why i'm going into chem engineering tho, so idk what to do about that, and berkeley says they want us to talk about our intended major.

last option, my parents are supportive, helped me realize my love for science. i've heard this is overused though.

for prompt 2
1. i could talk about my contribution to promoting STEM education because i value education as a first-gen student by teaching kids over the summer and volunteering in robotics. i could also use the same essay to talk about encouraging girls into tech fields as well, but obviously i couldn't use that for both essays, it'd be repetitive.

or i could talk about how i founded my robotics team, and the leadership that went into that, getting grants from companies, etc.

help please!!! i really don't know what the colleges would be looking for. as i said, i'm a first-gen student and my parents don't know much about applying for colleges.
