Hi, I am planning to transfer in the fall and have a question.
I currently have 17 units this semseter but now I need to drop one 3 unit course (World Literature class) because my work schedule changed. This course has nothing to do with my major, I just registered for it because I was interested. But I already wrote on my application that I was going to take it. Now that the deadline to update apps has passed, must I contact every UC I applied to about this change? Does this hurt my chances of getting in?

bump bump bump

must I contact every UC I applied to about this change?

yes

Does this hurt my chances of getting in?

most likely it wont

Do you have to inform every single school? That would be a little time consuming and troublesome for realz

Do you have to inform every single school?

At this point, to make sure, yes. You can submit on the UC form, but as it states, there is no guarantee that all or any schools will receive it.

If I have two options: update your courses by informing each school individually or take and finish the course, I'd rather go with the latter: don't drop it.

Hi, again. Thank you gabe for the help but I have another question.
I decided to drop the course but I am having trouble figuring out how to contact the schools. I sent it through PATHWAYS already but I want to contact the schools individually. I have checked the web sites and could only figure out how to send the change to UCLA. I still need to contact UCSD, UCI, and UCB. Do I have to send them signed letters?

Call each office, and they will tell you what to do.

Hey... some new updated information for you g3t... i called the UCR counselor and he gave me an email which you could send in your change in your class progress or any other relevant change.

UCLA has an email address as well. Each school has their own process.

Whats the email for UCLA?
