UC Question

So one of the UC requirements is to take a year of a visual/performing art. Over the summer, I took a 3-unit Introduction to Theatre course. On the course description, it said UC*CSU, which I took to mean that it could be transferred to a UC/CSU and that it would fill the admission requirement. My counselor agreed. But I just want to make sure this is right. So put shortly, does that 3 unit course I took at a community college fill the UC requirement. If not, should I take another visual/performing art course at the college this spring or would it be too late?

If both its course description and your counselor said it was UC-transferable, I don't know why you wouldn't think it is. Certainly your school's course catalogue and professional college counselor know more about that class's UC transferability than random people on the internet do.

^ You're definitely right, but it's the whole 3-unit thing that's gotten me paranoid. But I'm guessing 3 college units are different from 3 high school units?

We don't know your situation enough to give you a definite answer... try contacting UC or the college. They will help you better. You don't want bad advice from a high school senior like myself do you?

The typical college course is 3 units. A calculus class might be 5 units, and an accounting class might be 4 units, but most regular college classes are around 3 units (for example, a lab would be 1 unit).
