when and how will UC's do the audits for your information on the uc applicaiton.

only when you lie. Oh, wait, that wouldn’t be random now, would it?

I don’t know.

They randomly flag ~10% of all applications for complete review, and request supporting documentation for each and every item on that app. If the info is not submitted on a timely basis, the UC computer in the sky immediately notifies all campuses to which that applicant applied.

^complete review, really? I thought it was just a random thing on your application like proof of an EC activity.

That should not be a concern…unless, of course, you’re lying on your application :)

^im not though, i just feel a complete review seems a lil bit of overkill? I do have one EC that I do on my own, so i’m sure how i can prove that with actual hard evidence. (i.e. certificate, signature from person in charge/school official)

^Srry i meant “im NOT sure” (middle of line 2)

Yup, complete review.

^@bluebayou or anybody else who knows, how do you prove an EC that you did on your own?

aye, now im worried, because i cheated a little, and extended my volunteering hours by like 10 hours…so
but do they do this after you are sumbitted?
and is it really complete review? =/ like you have to verify evrything?

Hope you don’t get chosen for audit! I guess this will be a lesson to all the future applicants out there, eh?

Just playing. I doubt ten hours’ difference will be enough for any adcoms to care. It’s the impact that matters anyways. However, I do want to add that my school’s GC has been called a couple of times (by various schools, not only UCs) to ask about certain applicants.

Here’s the solution to the extra volunteer hours: winter break is coming up and you can get those 10 hours done then.

yeah, that was what i was planning on doing, since they wont know when i work anyways. but still, i hope to god, that i wont be chosen for random audit.

when do they usually do the random audits? is it after you have been admitted to their school, or before when they are in their evaluation stages?
