UC reciprocity and UC eligibility??

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to read my post.

I've tried emailing the undergrad admissions office at UCLA and not gotten any response, so i'm hoping someone on cc knows the answers to my questions.

anyways, i am currently at a UC and i would like to transfer to UCLA's engineering school. i am hoping to have UC reciprocity, and my question is, do i have to complete my current UC's upper division GE's as well as lower division?? i've heard both, so if anyone has done a UC/UC transfer with UC reciprocity or knows for sure, please let me know.

also, on UCLA's engineering school's website, it states that "At least one course from the arts, humanities or social sciences is required for UC eligibility." does this mean i can take any course under arts, humanities, or social sciences at my current UC and it will cover this requirement? does it matter if i take this class for p/np credit or for a letter grade? or, since i am already a current UC student, am i automatically uc eligible?

thanks again for reading :) and i appreciate any help!

please help?

I’m pretty sure “At least one course from the arts, humanities or social sciences is required for UC eligibility” is for CC students, not UC students.

You have upper division GEs? UCSB has none of that. I would contact UCLA undergraduate admissions via email, they’ve been extremely helpful and responsive (I usually get a reply within a business week) to my off the wall UC to UC questions.

thank you so much! :)

just wondering, i called undergrad admissions a couple weeks ago and they gave me this email to contact for transfer questions: ugradadm@ea.ucla.edu, but i’ve gotten no response after a week.

i will definitely give the other email a try, but is there a difference between the two emails?

nevermind, i just checked online and the ea email is for engineering admissions, while the other one is for general undergrad admissions
