Land Of The Mud People.

I literally almost got sick in Fontana just from making the mistake of rolling down my window for a minute. Oh god. So gross.

Dirt and greasy, greasy air for miles.

yaaa... right.

fontana isn't that bad, im moving there on monday from santa barbara.
geez and i thought sb had stuck up girls, im glad i didn't grow up in the o.c... haha

Lol honestly im really not stuck up. If other people want to live there that's cool, but I couldn't. Like just breathing out there is more difficult. That and everything feels dusty all the time.

But I'm sure you'll enjoy and stuff.

/come on though, it IS really brown.

Fontana...ha!
My sister bought a house down there a couple years ago so I go there quite often. I don't think this makes a difference, but she lives in North Fontana. Honestly, the area is not that bad. It reminds me of Riverside. Well, my sis is moving back up to OC so I don't think I'll be going there anymore. I know what you mean about it feeling dusty all the time though. And brown? It's probably from seeing all of the dirt roads / mountains / shacks in the area.

LOL.

"It's not that bad. It's like Riverside" DOES NOT COMPUTE.

Riverside is THAT BAD. So fontana is worse than that bad.

But I reeeeeaaaaalllly don't like the Inland Empire (if you couldn't tell), so I may be biased.

The inland empire is soo boring.
The summer days are even worse.
My grandparents live in morena valley.
And I remember having to stay there for 3 months of my life.
A terribly boring and depressing place..

That was like a sad, angsty poem.

I <3 it.

Shows how much the inland empire experience influences a person. ;)

the inland suckhole as i call it.

honestly, what dumbass decided to build a UC in riverside??!

Probably the same one who thought that putting schools in Merced and Redding were also A++++ ideas.

We have no proof of a Redding campus!

UC Shasta SHALL LIVE!!!!

:D

I've never even heard of Merced or Redding before and I lived in California my whole life.

I can understand you not hearing about Redding, but Merced?

^

Well, that is until I learned about UC Merced.

a UC in true nor cal, this will be great!

I thought Redding was a town of like 700 people... I guess not..

Anyone heard any updates on this? It'd be cool to go to school up in the mountains like that...

I've been begging for a UC Tahoe since I can remember. You might get a lot of people from Oregon and Washington to come down to that and the out of state tuition would benefit the UC's. This is an interesting topic, and I wonder what, if any, extension plans the UC has.
