@NewSocio can you SIR?
@CancelOut no
@NewSocio Same situation. The financial aid alert is no longer appearing. Wow… UCR is having a lot of issues this app cycle…
@starkali I just hope we get in and these problems don’t affect that.
I contacted UCR about the FASFA alert disappearing and they’re confused. I guess it was just a glitch.
Hey guys! A UCR hopeful here. I have been reading this thread for a while now, so I thought I’d pitch in. I haven’t been accepted, and I no longer can see the financial aid alert
Major: Business Administration
UC GPA: 3.6
Location: I attend two community colleges - one in LA county and the other in Orange County.
IGETC: Certified this spring
Major Pre Reqs: Completed (Accounting 1, Accounting 2, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Business Law, Business Communication, CIS, Statistics, Calculus, Intro to Business)
Other Schools Applied To: UCLA, USC, UCB, UCSD, UCSB, UCI, SDSU, and CSUF
Accepted: So far CSUF!
Also an active member in my colleges Honors Program and in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society!
Does anyone know if UCR reads essays? I am little worried because since most of the UC’s don’t offer an exact business major degree or it is very challenging to get into, I applied under a different major that I also enjoy (Sociology). I am worried because my essay states my intended major is Sociology, which at UCR I put as my alternative major. Eeeeek!
My application is still under review
I was accepted a few days ago!
Psych major: 3.1 GPA
History major. 2.98 GPA and still nothing. The suspense is killing me!!!
I also applied to Humboldt State which I was accepted to and also CSUSB
But I got rejected from CSUF.
@Vivi182 From what I know, CSUF is one of the top CSUs and even those in the 3.0 range have gotten denied.
@NewSocio yeah I wasn’t really expecting admission because of my gpa and everything being impacted. Just gave it a shot because I didn’t know what others to apply to, which I regret now
the admissions lady at CSUF said the cut off GPA was a 3.5 which is really high for a Cal State
Waiting is a torture!
Is anyone else planning on attending UCR as their first choice if they are admitted?
@kristyalene it’s my first choice too!
I took this quiz for fun that someone posted on a different forum to find out my “best UC match” and I got UCR ^^
All that’s left for me is hoping to get accepted

@kristyalene It is definitely my first choice. I love the campus and everything. Not to mention my GPA doesn’t really give me a choice.
I was accepted on 03/4/15 I am super excited and stoked at this moment I am the first in my family to go to college and I have been in Community college for awhile and I have a lot of W’s, and switched majors a few times, I used to be a science major, I also got a D in Calc1 twice so I didn’t think I would get into a UC.I am going to college guys
