I got my acceptance email at 9pm Saturday night for mechanical engineering. The wait is finally over! im super excited!
to those of you who were accepted in April did you pay your SIR fee as soon as you accepted it? I submitted my SIR but nothing else happened, I was expecting to pay it right away. I’m not sure if I did something wrong 
@engrchika I was curious about the same thing so I e mailed the admissions office and this is the reply they gave me.
Your SIR deposit has been deferred until Fall quarter based on the financial information you have provided in your application. So, therefore we have received your SIR, but you do not have to submit the payment. Thank you.

Got an email at 9pm last night.
So relieved. To those of you still waiting there is hope 
@engrchika @CancelOut I had to pay right after. If it’s according to the financial information, I’m not so sure anymore. My efc is 0.

@sg0108 I read online if you can’t pay it just send them an email with your family income in order to get it waived.
@engrchika what was your gpa? I’m also ME, and this is the last UC I’m waiting for. Only got accepted into Merced

@sg0108 I think the best option would to ask them through e mail like engrchika said. My EFC was also 0 but my payment is deferred until fall.
@engrchika @CancelOut Thanks for the replies! Appreciate it! I’m going to go there on Wednesday and talk to them about it. I’ve been looking at past threads. It seems that some people are saying that it has to do with: 1) if you were eligible to have your application fee waived or 2) your efc. We’ll see what happens.
@engrchika Thanks for the reply. Right now I have 3.1. I had a tag, but I failed my linear algebra during fall and my gpa dropped to 2.99, so I lost my tag 
I was so close. I hope I get in. Thanks!
