UC Riverside 2015 Transfer Thread

Woke up and checked, I got wait listed. So it’s a step in the right direction!

Dumb question, but how do I check my GROWL?

On myucr go to the my profile tab then personal information. You should see a growl link on there so just click it.

@taffylaffy you could login it directly, but I didn’t. So there is this “My Documents” tab in myucr right? When you go there, on the right side you should see a link to growl (under where it says Financial Aid). If you click on it will auto take you to your growl.

I got waitlisted too. I thought the suspense would end but I guess I was wrong.

@Xenomorph thanks!

Mine is still pending :’(

i met the requirement of TAG and it shows that i have qualify to attend UCR during fall 2015
but today I check myUCR after waiting for 2 months and they say that i get into “waitlist”.
I dont understand the reason why i got into waitlist . i thought if i met all the requirement of TAG then i will be guarantee to get in UCR.
My GPA is 3.04 ( qualify for appliying tag for Bus administration )
PLEASE HELPPPPP!!!

Do you qualify for or a TAG or did you actually sign a TAG @momo0327 ?

I received this one during January … i thought i have guarantee to attend UCR @Ghost3262

Congratulations Future Highlander! You’ve made an excellent choice in submitting your TAG to UC
Riverside; ranked 35th in the world and 29th in North America in Leiden University’s (2013) survey
of the 500 top universities.

Please complete the recommended “Next Steps” to ensure your guarantee for fall 2015.

Next Steps

•Apply to UC Riverside at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/apply during the November 1-30, 2014
priority application period for fall 2015.

•Indicate your TAG submission to UC Riverside on the UC transfer application. Remember that your
transfer admission guarantee is only applicable for the primary major you indicated on your TAG form.

•Complete 60 semester/90 quarter UC-transferable units by the end of spring 2015.

•Complete the second UC-transferable English course with a grade of C or better by the end of spring
2015.

•Complete all required UC admission coursework, including major preparation (if applicable) for your
chosen major by the end of spring 2015. View major preparation requirements at www.assist.org

•Maintain an overall minimum 3.0 GPA in all UC-transferable course work and major preparation
through the end of spring 2015.

•Complete the Academic Update Request by January 31, 2015. You must provide your final grades from
the previous term and list all courses in progress or planned for the term before you expect to
enroll. Even if you do not have any in-progress or planned courses and your record of course grades
was complete in your original application, you must log in to your application and complete the
Transfer Academic Update.

Please note UC Riverside will review your TAG application and notify you of your transfer admission
decision in March.

Students who do not meet UC Riverside’s TAG criteria may still be competitive for admission to UC
Riverside as a general transfer applicant. If, for any reason, you are unable to meet the conditions
of the TAG, an offer of admission will depend on your completion of transfer admission requirements
and selectivity in the applicant pool.

Thank you for submitting your TAG application to UC Riverside and hope to see YOU in the fall!

@jasonb511 when were you planning to go to campus? I’ve also been wanting to check it out!

That’s strange @momo0327 I was under the assumption that a TAG was a guaranteed admittance

@momo0327 You should contact the university by calling or emailing admissions@ucr.edu to see why your TAG did not go through. Either they made a mistake or you unfortunately did not meet their TAG requirements even though you believe you did.

@hbanana123
I decided not to go this weekend. I didnt sleep much this past week due to last round of midterms. And I want to rest up before finals. Even tho I don’t need to show up during finals week and still end the semester with a 3.3, I want to end with a bang lol. So I’m most likely going the weekend after finals. I’ll probably drive down on labor day then talk to admissions and a counselor Tuesday the 26th. I’m from northern CA so its a bit of a drive! If you still haven’t seen the school the last week of may, lets check it out!

Congrats to those accepted today! Cheers to our next chapter in life.

@alchemistress To apply for housing we must have a UCR Email account. You can get one by SIR UCR. You will get
email in 3 business day. Check GROWL site and go to where it says student email. I called the housing today and I was told that we should be fine but that we should apply for housing AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! :)]

Is anyone going to Transfer Visit Day on May 16th? I really want to go!!! ;

For the people still waiting or being waitlisted. I waited about two months to hear back from UCR. I was denied from all of the universities that I applied. If you are denied or waitlisted please do not give up and remember this decision should not stop you from reaching your goals. Staying another year at your college might improve your grades and your application overall! Take this situation as another opportunity to learn and improve in other areas. :x =D> :-bd

Thanks a lot @faithcareer. I am still waiting. I hope I find out tomorrow.
