OMG is today!!! Transfer day!! Here we go! :D/
For anyone at transfer day today, if they give you any information about registration for orientation please let us know! At highlander day, they told me the first week of May, but that has come and gone.
I have a 3.6 GPA and I am transferring from a community college @faithcareer
@kristyalene they didn’t really talk about registration or orientation. They just said you won’t be able to register for classes until orientation which will be at the end of August.
Transfer day was great! I love the school and have just submitted my SIR. Learned about all these cool opportunities but can’t apply for them or housing until I get my UCR NetID or whatever in 3-4 business days :/.
Very important question! I went to the UCR Transfer Visit Day, but because mistakes were made when I was doing my schedule for the day, I never got the chance to speak with admissions/financial aid (i thought they would be open until 4 pm, but misread for 2 pm. i was planning to speak to them at 3…).
anyways, I got accepted for Environmental Engineering through the TAG program, so obviously, I have to fulfill the TAG contract. My question is, can I withdraw a 1st year Bio course at my CC and not jeapordize my TAG contract? I know the provision says to get a C or better in all classes for Spring 2015. By the way, this class is not a major requirement, I don’t even need it really.
edit: if I could please get some insight, that would be great. admissions nor financial aid will be available until Monday. and drop deadline for my school is tomorrow, so I have to make a choice soon…
@amstillives I have a feeling your TAG can be revoked if you change your schedule and don’t do the exact courses planned. But then again it can get revoked if your gpa falls below a certain number as well

@cub2usc what’s your major? I’ve seen a few groups like a general class one, a cnas one, a bcoe one, and a chass one. They’re all for class of 2017
@boredandconfused thanks. gpa would not cause my tag to be revoked. I know it’s part of the contract, but I’ve also heard ucr is lenient? yikes!

Sorry for being a little late on updating about transfer day! But honestly there were not many things mentioned. This day consisted of a breakfast, lab tours and some other programs that UCR offers to transfer students. So if you missed it… don’t worry! Also, there will be a mandatory transfer orientation around August that you must come to enroll in classes! So keep checking your email and myucr account for updates!
