If I have a GPA of 3.14 weighed after 12th grade but have a D in 11th grade first semester but very low grades in 9-11 but had all A’s in 12th grade 1st semester. I have 4,000 hours of community service and I went to competitions and I have won nationals and have a sat score of 1340 can I still be accepted to uc riverside
I’ll assume you’re in-state - I think the bare minimum GPA for UCR is 3.00 UC GPA, so you would need to calculate your UC weighted capped GPA. My guess is that you’ll be right on the borderline. 12th grade grades are not considered. Your SAT score should be ok. Not sure about the grades though. I’ll let @Gumbymom chime in.
UC’s consider GPA/test/Scores and essays over EC’s so it will be a tough admit. So are you taking a Gap year? Are you a California resident or OOS/International? For in-state, a 3.0 UC GPA capped weighted is needed to apply but for OOS/International applicants it is a 3.4 UC GPA capped weighted.
Did you repeat the course in which you received a D and which course is the D grade in?
Intended major?
You need to calculate your UC GPA capped weighted which uses 10-11th grades only but since you have graduated, your Senior year grades will also be used but you are still capped at 8 semesters of AP/IB/DE or UC approved Honors courses for 10-11th grades. Having a upward trend will definitely help, but it might be a little too late.
