UC Riverside Dorming

I'm probably going to UC Riverside next year! From what I've heard, East Lothian as well as A-I are both excellent choices for dorming. I'm also planning for a triple because it's cheaper in cost. However, for the past few years people said that you can't choice between East and West Lothian? I heard some really bad things about West Lothian so I'm kind of scared to apply for Lothian once April hits... what do you guys think? If I get put into West Lothian is it easy to switch to East?

Yes, you do not get to choose East or West, you can just choose Lothian. I never hated living in West Lo honestly. I lived there back in 2009-2010 and it wasn’t that bad. Switching is based on if you can find someone to switch with. A plus side with West is you do get to meet more people since A and B halls are connected and I enjoyed that feature and that the room doors actually stay open, East lo they will close behind them and i’m referring to the doors to your actual room.
If you want better chances at getting East Lothian, either apply early or pick one of the halls that are based on college, they are always in East Lo.

How does Al compare with e-lothian. I heard east lothian has better social atmosphere and Al has better food.

@SweetMemories does that mean that the Engunity hall for first year Bcoe students located in Lothian is in East Lothian? I was on the fence of apply for Engunity hall but if this is the case I’m sure to apply for it!
