UC Riverside Fall 2020 Transfers Thread

“got admitted” - want to elaborate or just leave it at that?

It’s a prerequisite that you list your stats when admitted or rejected. Hahaaaa

Oh noooooo

@NonTradtional
I have listed them before, that’s why I didn’t list them this time

again I got admitted to UCR on April 16th as a Biology major and got invited to Honors.
I am a CC transfer
3.5 gpa.
I completed all the required courses (with Ochem instead of physics).
Hope this helps! Good luck to everyone else!

Accepted the other day
Neuroscience major
3.4
Extracurriculars:
Volunteer and treasurer of a club
I did not finish physics, but I finished everything else
So far, this is the only school that accepted me
CSULB rejected me
applied to: UCSD, UCD, UCM, UCSB, UCSC, UCI, UCB

Any engineering majors waiting still?

I am still waiting.

Does the honors program application require letters of recommendation?

Hey, guys, I have a question. I got accepted to UCR a while back and I applied for the TAG but I never got an email indicating that my TAG was accepted. I’m wondering If it was because I’m a Bio major and I have all the requirements for the TAG done EXCEPT for General Chemistry 2 which is a major pre-requisite. I told them I plan to take it in the summer. Since I didn’t get an email about my TAG being accepted and just got the regular “Thank you for submitting your TAG to UC riverside” in the uctap portal does this mean I got in regularly?

I want to know If I was accepted to UCR because of my TAG or just regularly. I’m Basically trying to gauge my chances at the rest of the schools I applied to. I’m trying to see if UCR was fine with me missing gen chem 2 and still accepted my TAG or my TAG was denied and I got in regularly. My way of thinking is that if UCR didn’t factor in a TAG and was fine with me missing general chemistry 2 then the other schools might also be fine with me missing it and still accept me. The rest of the schools I’m waiting on is UCI, UCSB, UCSD.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Has everyone that tagged ucr heard back already?

@lavaboy98 I did! I got accepted on the 16 of April.

Admitted to Business Administration major today

No e-mail notification

Portal shows a letter immediately upon logging on.

Just admitted and applied for Business Administration. However, it says Business Preparation. What does that mean?

@napoleantheape

Did you finish your IGETC and all of the major prerequisites? You can take it at UCR but you are accepted.

Accepted UCR, UCI
Rejected UC Berkeley
Still waiting: UCSD, UCSB

Major: Computer Engineering
GPA: 4.0
TAG: Yes
No ECs and mediocre essays.

Regents Scholarship ($5,000 per year).

I will probably turn the offer down as I’d very much rather go to UCSD or UCSB whether I get a scholarship or not.

Accepted 4/8
Major: Poli Sci
GPA: 3.59 at time of submission
3.71 TAU
CCC student
Admitted: UCR, UCI
Rejected: N/A
Waiting: UCSB (TAG) UCSD, UCLA

Turned down offer, so hopefully it helps someone!

so i just got rejected for biochem with a 3.75 coming from a csu… i got into UCSC with regents but rejected from davis/berkeley/irvine. i’m really not sure what’s going on but i was not expecting this

Biochem at Santa Cruz is really good especially with a Regent’s which most people did not get. Be proud of yourself. You’re one of the few.

The admissions portal said my admit packet should come in 3 weeks after being admitted and when I emailed them they said 4 weeks… Great

???
I still haven’t heard back from UCR and I was admitted last year, so this is pretty annoying. I got rejected from UCI which was my #1 because I don’t expect UCLA to accept (would love that obvi)

Waiting UCSB, UCSD, UCLA

Accepted CSULB, SDSU

I got accepted to a couple CSUs in Feb & never got anything in the mail ?
