I’m an incoming senior this fall and I’m considering applying to UC Riverside for a major in bio. Does anyone know of someone on here who’s knowledgeable about the school’s academics, campus life, scholarships, etc? Please post on here if you do!
There’s UCR forum. My nephew has $10k scholarship from UCR. The premed track is pretty competitive.
What do you plan on doing with a bio degree? They’re a dime a dozen.

What is your UC GPA?
Your ACT is high enough that you could get a merit offer from UCR, but I don’t know if your GPA will get in the way.
Why is your SAT II Bio so low, especially if you want to be a bio major? And, you got a 3 on AP Bio.
Why do you want to be a bio major?
My UC GPA is a 3.5. I had a rough year last year due to personal problems and I couldn’t focus on school as much as I would have liked to. I’m planning on retaking the SAT Bio. I want to become a doctor in the future.
Only engineering need SAT subject test, do you have to submit the score.
I’m not entirely sure…is it specific to each school or to your major?
