@Gumbymom, from the posting of CC and kids in school, it seemed UCR sent out acceptance in early January and never sent any more. While UCI only sent out CHPs in mid-February. Neither of them sent in waves. In another word, UCR pretty much finished their acceptance and UCI didn’t even start yet(besides CHPs). From last few years’ experience, probably UCI will send on March 12th.

@turqluv: Just because CC has no recent acceptance postings, doesn’t mean applicants are not being accepted. The majority of students probably do not have a CC account. You cannot judge by what you are seeing on these decision threads.

I havent heard from UCR yet and Im getting kind of nervous. I just got rejected from cal state fullerton and cal state long beach. I had a 3.8 gpa, senior class Vice President, swim team varsity captain my junior and senior year, and Ive been in the american cancer society youth club all my four years but my SAT is killing me. I got a 1370 on my SAT. I took AP classes, but I got a C in AP calculus my junior year and a C first semester in honors chemistry. Should I give up hope of getting accepted?
@sc4589: There are still many applicants waiting for a decision. If you have not gotten an official rejection, you are still in the running. Hang in there.

Okay so my SAT score was 1480 and my GPA is a 3.6 my ACT score was a 24. I haven’t gotten any announcements from any UC’s except Santa Cruz letting me know when there admission decisions will start to be released and some stuff from UC Riverside. I applied to Merced , Santa Cruz, Riverside, and Irvine. Is it a bad sign that I haven’t gotten anything yet? I applied the second to last day of the deadline. Does the time I applied my application affect when I receive my admissions decision .
@412brenda: All I can tell you is to hang in there. It seems like alot of the UC’s are taking longer than usual to be posting their acceptances. My two son’s applied within the last 2 years and they heard from UCR at the end of January, UCM Mid-March and UCI at the end of March. I know that my older son had a friend that applied the very last day for UCR and didn’t hear until Early April. If you haven’t received an official rejection, then you are still in the running and yes waiting is a killer. Good Luck.

I think there might’ve been some problems with sending notifications, because when they finally updated my myUCR account this morning, a bunch of alerts popped up. One of them was an invite to go to some Engineering day which was held in February, but it’s March now… Good luck!
