UC Riverside Transfer Decisions 2013

@ernestobb25 housing apps are on their regular website. you need to have had SIR’d already and have gotten your UCR net ID and perm pin to sign up for housing. then after you apply, you go on growl and pay a deposit fee in order for them to process your app

"@ChronoCross - I’ve taken College Algebra, Trig and Stats. IGETC was fully satisfied, the only thing technically missing was the ‘Foreign Language’ which isn’t actually required for IGETC but will be required for graduation.

The only actual thing missing for transfer was Calculus (which was suppose to satisfy my major since my CC didn’t offer Business Calc).

Overall, the entire experience was irritating. I stupidly put my eggs in UC thinking I didn’t have to worry that I’d get in… now I have to wait a year and I’ll try again but I’ll definitely be pursuing CSU’s this time"

Wow I surprised, I think they should have accepted you then, I feel like it might have been an accident

@sas148 I wouldn’t sweat it. I’m sure you’ll get in somewhere. I got denied from SDSU with a 3.91 gpa. Some schools are just really erratic. I’m almost certain I’ll get into UCSD (because of TAG) and UC Irvine though, unless something went horribly wrong with my applications.

@sas148: You could always appeal if you really want to go there. A little more work but it might be worth it if your personal situation makes this a better choice than other schools.

@tcccom there are plenty of people with great grades that choose UCR over other UCs for having certain programs or for financial reasons. I seriously doubt that they would assume that you paid the 80$ application fee just for ****s and giggles and deny you.

One of the reasons UCR is especially easy to get into as a transfer is that they do not get enough transfer applicants.

How do you guys check your admissions for UCR? Is it in the alerts section of the website?

When you log in, it should just say that you were accepted on the front page.

Oh okay thank you! It stills says they are reviewing my application

Good Luck!

hey I was just curious, are they releasing decisions sporadically, or is there some kind of method to it? should I be worried if I haven’t heard back yet?

Don’t be worried if you haven’t heard back yet, they stil have until the end of April to tell everyone, and no one I know at school has heard anything from anyone yet. There’s still a long way to go… I’m waiting on Irvine now and its tortureeeeeee.

The problem with getting into UCI (which I applied for) is that I am missing 3 classes from what they wanted for my major. Managerial Accounting and they wanted two levels of Calculus. It’s so difficult to take all the classes that every single school you’re interested in wants. It is very frustrating.

Got accepted on march 1st. received the packet today… if that info helps anyone!!

My parents forgot to check the mail today so we just checked it right now and I got mine too :)

I received the packet today :D

Congrats on UCSC! Mine is still under review there… bah.

So i just saw that they will be releasing financial aid awards by the end of this month, for those who would like to know.

Where did you see that? I thought I saw somewhere that they would release them by the end of NEXT month…
