@damnImwaiting i know for fact that it’s not just for U-link students since i have friends that got admitted without it
Darn. I have a high gpa but I’m coming from ucsb… Perhaps it’s random.
@letmein2015 ah, you’re a UC to UC transfer?
hopefully they will roll out decisions tmrw
I think its by college because me and a few friends haven’t got admission decisions. We both have 4.0 gpa
@trnsfrstdnt Yes! UCSB is great but it’s just not a good fit for about a billion reasons.
Me too! This wait is killing me
@FUTUREUCLABRUIN1 yea it must be college then. i just want to know my ucla admission more tbh hahaha
@letmein2015 and oh sorry to hear that! hopefully things will work out i have a friend trying to transfer from uc to uc as well! gl!
College: Warren (actually not first choice. My first choice was Roosevelt. Maybe Warren is better for me, since my major is more science-engineering related)
Major: Chemistry
GPA: 4.00
IGETC: Not needed
Pre-requisites: Quantum Mechanics, Organic Chemistry II in progress (others completed)
Applied: UCD, UCSD, UCB
Accepted: UCSD
+Regents Scholarship
Anyone know how many percent of applicants receive this scholarship each year? I heard there are some priority benefits with this scholarship, do u guys think it is worth giving up other UCs with better reputation such as UCB?
It already came out.
I have a 4.0 as well from a CCC and haven’t heard back either. I think the release of decisions was based on major and U-link rather than by college. Of the few that I’ve seen that have been admitted so far, the majority were Econ majors. And surely there are many other factors at play but I don’t think one’s choice of college is such a factor.
@trnsfrstdnt Yeah UCLA is my top choice, although I did apply to UCB. It all depends on financial aid.
@FUTUREUCLABRUIN1 good luck! i hope to get accepted to either ucla or usc
@trnsfrstdnt What’s your stats?
not that great @futureuclabruin 3.79/3.81 including intersession for economics, honors program, ptk member, 1 internship for nonprofit, 2 part time jobs, tap certified
@Evonnnnn Wow congrats! I am very jealous! Regents offers you scholarship money and also gives you priority registration as well as many other beneficial perks. I would look it up to get more info, although I’m sure they will provide you with information in your welcome packet. Very few actually get the scholarship. I’ve heard only the top 1-2% of freshmen get it (not so sure about transfers)! I was hoping a miracle would happen and I would receive one, but I guess not since it seems the decision for it already came out! ): How did you find out you received the scholarship?
@cs2015 First thank you~ : ) I didn’t expect that it was such a honor. Basically it came directly with the acceptance offer. I received the email notifying me UCSD result is out, so I logged in my UCSD website. When I clicked to see the “My Financial Aid Estimate” in the offer details, there showed the scholarship things.
Seems to me that you are a CS-major. As far as I know, there hasn’t been anyone in cs or engin majors getting accepted. You might have to wait a bit more time~ Good luck!
@Evonnnnn Thanks! I’ve actually already been accepted to the school (I’m a bio major, cs is my initials haha) which I am super excited about! But unfortunately there was nothing about regents in my financial aid estimate! Oh well! Congrats again, that’s a great accomplishment! (:
