Would UCSD be considered a match or reach for me?

GPA: 3.6 I had some trouble in freshman year but have had an upward trend in grades since.
SAT: 2340 - CR & M 800, W 740
ACT: 33
AP Scores: USH 5 - Eng 5 - Latin 4 - Physics 5
Taking 5 more AP classes senior year, expect to do well (I hope!)

Absolutely a match. In fact a match/safety. They don’t care about your Freshman grades and, even if they did, it wouldn’t matter. They determine your UC GPA using grade 10 and 11 only. Don’t submit your ACT scores.

Yes, my friend got in this year he had a 3.2 GPA, 1600 SAT Score 1100 SAT Score and im not sure about his ACT Score but he had great EC. I’d say write some good essays and your in. Best of all Good Luck

UCSD is a match for you, because I know the average unweighed for Berkeley and UCLA is 3.8-3.9 GPA. So I am assuming UCSD is a 3.6-3.7, so it is a perfect choice for you.

Do you have ECs, and what are your SAT2 scores? If you have good ECs + SAT2s, you will have a decent shot applying to UC Berkeley and UCLA as well. UCSD for you is most likely a shoo-in.
