I would say you are a competitive applicant. With your stats, did you receive the Chancellor reception invite? Did you submit both ACT and SAT along with both SAT subject tests?

yes I submitted both SAT and ACT…whats the chancellor reception?

The Chancellor reception is for top applicants to UCSB and basically an early acceptance.

oh. no I didn’t get anything like that

It does depend upon if there is a reception near your home. It is only done at a few cities around the country but mostly in California.

What is the purpose of the UCSB Chancellor’s Receptions?
The receptions provide you and your family with the opportunity to meet UCSB faculty, staff and alumni who will introduce you to opportunities on campus. Our goal is to inform you about the excellent opportunities for academic, personal and professional growth at UCSB so that you can make an informed college choice.

Does this mean I have been admitted? Who was invited to the reception?
Your invitation does not indicate that you have been admitted. However, invitations were only sent to our highest achieving applicants in select regions.

hmmm okay. well im from California but didnt get it

You are still in the running when the March decisions are posted.

Great candidate!!! Think you have a very good chance

@AlphaO … did you get accepted at UCSB?

I think only issue is ChemE major as competition is rough, but resume looks good.
