I am a junior in high school and I have been looking into the CCS at UC Santa Barbara for quite some time now, but I can’t find any info about their acceptance rates or about the academic criteria they want applicants to meet. If I apply to the CCS as a hopeful physics major, what ACT and SAT scores do i need to be competitive?
I would say atleast a 33/1500 shpuld be strong enough, obviously accompanied with a solid high GPA, strong EC’s and essays, as well as good Letter of Recs and Letter of Intent.
the 1st question in your mind shouldn’t be if you are competitive but if it is a fit for you. Understand that it is a very accelerated and demanding program, mainly for those that want to go on to a PhD. If that’s you then give them a call; they have a reputationfor being very willing to talk to prospective students.
