UC Santa Barbara Financial Aid

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can view their unofficial award letter?

when i click on my unofficial award letter i get this message:

FAFSA Status

Your initial 2010-2011 FAFSA was received by the federal processor on 2/9/2010.

same as yours

They are not posting until early April…if you read under Steps to enrollment >>Financial Aid More info it states “The letter will be available in early April and will provide a preliminary estimate of your eligibility.”

thanx for the info monkeydude <3

Here is the message I have about financial aid:

"If you filed a 2010-2011 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), listed UCSB on your FAFSA, and your FAFSA was not rejected by the federal processor, an Unofficial Award Letter will be prepared for you. Your Unofficial Award Letter will be available March 30th.

Please click here on or after March 30th to be redirected to the UCSB Admissions Office web site to view your Unofficial Award Letter and Tips on the Financial Aid Process.

In the future, you may access your Unofficial Award Letter directly through the Office of Admissions website ([UCSB Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucsb.edu)). Log in and click on the “Unofficial Award Letter” link on the left side-bar."

So it looks like March 30th is the day we can see our unofficial award letter…

Just to let everyone know, the unofficial award letters from UCSB are posted

thanx, just checked mine

id have to pay around $800 less than i would if i went to SD

What does it say on your award letter? Mine just says:

FAFSA Status

Your initial 2010-2011 FAFSA was received by the federal processor on 1/26/2010.

it said that before, but today like UChopeful said, it changed.

I have a sliiiiightly better offer from UCSD. So, I suppose UCSB is out of the race for me!

Hmm I see. Could it be because I was just admitted last night? I cant see any of those links yet.

Aw, well you’re lucky you know what your award is at UCSD, my application is still pending… And it’s my first choice! lol

@#$^&*@!

That has to be super frustrating! :(

adskfjasdfklajs all loans :/

oh wait i just checked my UCSD financial aid and its updated so nah its the same if i go to UCSB.

last year i remember UCLA giving me more than SD so idk

Yeah, I was wondering about that. I’d think UCLA and Berkeley might give more aid because they have bigger budgets… do you think that’s true?

i think its true b/c i recall UCLA giving me a few thousand more, idk why they did it but a bigger budget is a good reason, they have more funding for scholarships i think, especially for the department my major is in, i know for sure that UCLA outranked UCSD big time.

WHOA! a few ** thousand ** more?! I’m pretty set on UCSD, but money talks!

hell yeah it does, last year i was like: “money whatever”
but this year im like: “hmm more money,ok, whatever”

MO’ MONEY.

Seriously.
