I'm thinking about taking UC transferrable courses such as English over the summer at my local community college. Anyone know what I should take that is transferrable? I heard that it's englihs 101 but i am not sure.

It’s different at every community college!! Use [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org)! on the home page choose your community college from the drop down menu. and after you can choose… IGETC courses (GE’s) or UC transferable choices… then choose English! Oh, and after you select your community college you can also choose UCSB in the other menu, and it’ll give you more information about transferable courses between your CC and UCSB! Good luck.

You think it’s a good idea to take classes this summer?

I do! taking anything to prepare yourself for UCSB would be good! English would definitely be a good choice because you need it to graduate… Maybe see if you have any pre-major work to complete?

When you sign up for classes, the general course list/catalogue should indicate whether or not the class is UC/CSU transferrable. Generally most of them are.
