Same thing for my brother. He TAGed for CS, no decision yet.
I didn’t TAG, also for CS.
I think someone mentioned this already, but decisions might be being released based on school(ls first, engineering later?).

I think it has to do more with majors. I noticed a few philosophy majors were accepted at ucsc right away, whereas I haven’t seen a single philosophy major accepted to ucsb yet.
Still waiting! I was supposed to be in the 12:00 Am wave last night, but I am still waiting!

@hrwarg Thanks for the reply!
I wonder if any Business Management Econ majors have been accepted for transfer. Can anyone confirm?
Maybe they have yet to send out decisions for us? I’m really hoping so…
@lbwaterpoloman I’m really hoping so! I’m still waiting from UCSC. I haven’t seen any Business Management Econ majors on here that say they have been accepted. I’m hoping that they have yet to send out decisions for us Business majors.
I called admissions to ask about how/when decisions were being released, and they said they weren’t done on a schedule, but day-by-day. I don’t know if they’re doing it by major.
judging from the 2012 admissions, we may expect another batch in 2 days. I spent an hour today at lunch looking at old threads to see how admissions came out.
Cmp Sci Major
GPA: 3.1
I really hope I get into UCSC since I only applied to UCs. Congrats to the people who got in already!
@dwabner, I called them a little while ago to see how/when they were releasing decisions, and they said they are releasing them day-by-day. I’m unsure if they’re being decided by major. Good luck to everyone! I definitely hope I’ll get in.
@apocalypso Thank you! That’s good to know. I wonder how many applications they go through in a day. This is actually terrible because I’ll be checking my student page every 5s hahaha

I had over 100 units of terrible grades at WVC and DeAnza (GPA 2.6) however they were all in class’ not related to Science/Engineering Bachelor Degrees. Once switching to a science major, I switched my focus to prerequisites for Engineering. I earned 65+ units in Math, Physics, Chem, English at LBCC. I did well in those courses, got academic renewal from WVC and DeAnza, ended up with a 3.6 GPA. Never give up people. NEVER! I searched these forums for answers to those early questions of doubt and uncertainty. I hope my story can motivate and inspire someone out there.
Whats your story? Please keep posting your results!!!
CONGRATS TO EVERYONE!!!

@VoTortoise That’s a great story! Congrats! Makes me feel a little better that in my related classes I have around a 3.6 GPA, despite have a 3.1 overall GPA (damn you history!)
UCSC OFFICIAL 2015 TRANSFER THREAD http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-santa-cruz/1752014-ucsc-official-2015-transfer-thread-p2.html
CONGRATS EVERYONE!!!
congrats!!! @kindfine
Thank you! Besides UCSC I applied at UCI, UCD (tag), UCB, UCLA and UCSD. All as cmp sci major. I’m really nervous because I didn’t apply to any CSUs as backups. I’m a little older (24) and I’m hoping they see something in the fact that I lived in different countries and wasn’t raised in the US (I’m a CA resident and US citizen though). And hopefully 1 year working at a startup helps.
ps: There are no fingernails left on my fingers as of today haha
