UC Santa Cruz SIP 2017

Hey guys, now that admissions have been sent out, it’s not my business to give out the list of people who were in SIP. Should have realized this sooner. Please do not ask me for the list of accepted interns. Thank you. (Also some advice to remove a post would be appreciated)

I got in but idk if i should go due to the tuition. My mom is unwilling to pay for it coz it sounds more like a camp than an internship (which ppl do it for free or even get paid…)… Can anyone who were there last yr please explain to me how it helped u on college application as well as the experience there. If i need to pay for it, i want to make sure the $6000+ is worth it.
P.s. I this program is one of those that i am really interested in but the tuition is unreasonable. I really appreciate if someone can tell me their experience as a SIP intern!

There is always financial aid.

My family’s income bracket doesn’t satisfy any form of financial aid…

Accepted! don’t know if I can do it as I will be gone for 4 weeks in the middle. maybe my mentor will be flexible?

Can someone post the list or a pic of the accepted people here??..lol my friend keeps on pranking me and I wanna see if he actually got in haha

My DD got accepted, freshman. For those accepted, are you commuting or doing residential?

Those on Waitlist, there is still a chance. I got moved to another project, that wasn’t there before. So, seems like projects are still getting added so people have a chance to get off the waitlist. Good Luck to those who are waiting.

People who were accepted, can you still access the list of Assignments from anywhere? The link vanished after I accepted my admission. I would like to see who my project partner is.

@chucko Same problem. Wanted to look at the partner assignment, but it’s not there anymore!

Anyone accepted to SIP internship 2017 at UCSC interested in carpooling?

I realize that this is an old post but question for all admitted students, did you have any prior research experience and did you have any advanced classes in STEM. My son is currently a 9th grader and is interested in applying in 2018. Admitted students please post your stats. Thanks.

Would you be able to say what was your profile like ? I applied this year and was rejected.
