***UC Santa Cruz Transfer Decision Thread 2019***

team pending standing strong…

I was just accepted. A little bummed since it is so late that I don’t think I’ll have time to go up from San Diego to tour the school, given I have finals soon. It’s not the better option for being a premed, anyway. I’ll be passing on the offer so someone else can have it

waitlisted, 3.74 computer science missing discrete math (required)

as expected

Got accepted EE 2 days ago. I’ve only taken lamguage classes and a few gen ed classes. I have no foundation in math or science. Am I screwed if I accept this? I applied as PoliSci but was denied initially, and accepted to my alt major(which I applied to thinking they’d never accept me but still was a field I was interested in)

Accepted this morning! molecular, cell, and developmental biology.

@UghAlready chuckle…

has anyone received their admissions packet in the mail yet??

Feels slow this week. Maybe everything will just get dumped on Friday …

Weird, I got waitlisted even though I submitted a TAG? Should I attempt to appeal their decision?

My kid was wait listed too. He is going to call tomorrow, explore appealing, alternate majors, etc. I completely think it is worth at least a call.

Has anyone been accepted off the waitlist yet?

YOOO I accepted the waitlist offer like 3 days ago and I’ve been accepted already!! HUGE RELIEF!!

Also for anyone waitlisted, accept the offer, you can still APPEAL from the waitlist, theres no reason not too join the waitlist. I was in the middle of forming my appeal and now I don’t even have to submit it.

Congratulations!! Do you mind reminding us what your major is? (I assume they’ll take folks off the list by major.)

@section7forme Anthropology major, all major and IGETC requirements completed.

@imstressin congrats! Are you going to UCSC? After visiting the campus I chose to SIR there

@ucdochopeful2k19 I’m not sure yet, im still waiting to hear back from 4 other schools…I’ve had a terrible experience with UC APP and transfer process lol. I really like UCSC so there is a good chance i’ll be attending school there just want to know my options, I’m still waiting for my financial aid and grants to come through…not sure how long it takes?

@ucdochopeful2k19 I also need to visit the campus, i’m from the bay area so hopefully I can check it out soon!

Hewo peeps, sorry for such a late post and been lurking. Hopefully my extra set of stats are helpful to you out there.

Accepted off the waitlist on 5/21 @5:01AM. Found out through email.
Still waiting on UCD waitlist tho LOL.

UC to UC transfer

Personal statement was like a 5/10. I applied on the last day and it felt really rushed. My application was shot in the dark. I was not expecting to get in as my GPA was trash and as I had no extracurriculars in college.

Just declined my offer (psych). Good luck guys!
