UC Santa Cruz Transfer Decisions 2013

I dont even know if Ill make it to midnight, thats late for me! haha. I’m not worried at all about getting in just want that confirmation that I’ll be going there next year. Tomorrow is my birthday as well so how awesome of a present would that be to wake up to?

Happy early Birthday! 12 more minutes!

Thanks man haha hopefully you’ll get accepted tonight! Just 7 more minutes! I’m surprised more people aren’t up waiting…

I’m waiting! my last name starts with a G though :frowning: I already know I’m going to go to UCR instead of UCSC, but it would be nice to know I got in haha.

Haha, I know! And thanks! By the way, whenever I see your username I can’t help but laugh, not because it’s dumb or anything, but remember how a few days ago (maybe a week ago), another person on here was calling you “Mr. Randall” LMAO!

@krackalacka UCR is cool too but the SC campus just puts it ahead for me haha.

@larinaga Haha yeah it was making me laugh too, I look like I’m 12 so I’ve never gotten that before…

Any luck yet with the decision?

ADMITTED!!!

GPA: 3.33
MAJOR: ECON
TAG: NO
PRE-REQS: MICROECON, MACROECON, STATS, (MISSING THE CALC SERIES, BUT I WOULD PROBABLY JUST TEST INTO CALC 1 OR 2 IF I WAS GOING TO ATTEND UCSC)

I’m going to decline my admission after I hear from UCSB. :)

Congratz dude! I’m glad to see decisions are coming now… So tempted to stay up until 4. Same major as me as well haha so I’ll probably get my decision today too!

If it carries any weight I think you should definitely keep considering SC! I’m gonna turn down SB for it.

Thanks, man! I applied as an Econ major, but I can’t find anywhere on the site that says I’m an Econ major. Haha. Any ideas?

I’ll definitely consider it! I do have UC Davis as my second choice though. We’ll see what happens. UCSB’s pre-major tactics scare me, but I’m sure with some good tutoring I can pass that horrific Econ 10A course they have.

@larianga Hm, I think how it works is that you just get accepted at first but your major isn’t guaranteed? That would be weird though…

Yeah I hate how some schools do that UCB has a stats course you have to get a B in for econ. It’s another reason I want to turn down UCSB haha. Have you visited all three campuses?

@Marlin - Congrats man! Wow now I pretty much have to stay up if they are releasing T’s what the hell haha. What were your stats Marlin?

My decision should be out by now! :(

Well, that’s a let-down! Whatever, in my eyes, I was accepted as an Econ major! Haha.

I’ve visited all the ones within my area: UCSB, Irvine, San Diego, UCLA. I fell in love with UCSB’s campus, but the surrounding area is what did it for me. I hear Santa Cruz is a dream though. The pictures look beautiful!

@larinaga Yeah dude you probably were maybe just a typo or something.

I’ve been to UCR, CSUSM, Cal Poly Pomona and UCSC. I wasn’t even considering any of those besides SC just been through the area really none of them had the right feel for me. SC was amazing though. I’m still split on whether I’ll visit SB, its a decent drive away. SB has the better econ program but I don’t think Id feel as at home there…

@pacioso No worries, you might be in a different batch.

I got accepted! My first name starts with a W, and my last name starts with a Z LOL…

Major: Business Management Economics

@Chrono congrats man! Do you think you’ll go to SC and what were your stats? It seems the econ related majors are coming out early which is good news haha.

T and W are both supposed to come out at 5 am, maybe they are letting out the A group and the T group like a mistake… anyone else haha?

Congrats Chrono!

You might as well just stay up now, mrandall. Haha.

Happy Birthday Mr. Randall, my thirsty ratchet.

@larianga I’m so energetic now damn. It seems its the time for Econ majors though.

@ramsfan thanks man! Whats your last name start with?

Yeah I expected to hear my admission status at like 5 AM… but they sent mine so early… Maybe because I live near the Santa Cruz area?

3.22 GPA, Didn’t finish Calc Pre-Reqs / Computer Literacy Pre-Reqs but finished everything else

I have friends there and the campus is pretty great! I also got accepted to CPP, Hey Randall did you like CPP’s campus at all? What major did you apply to CPP? I haven’t been to CPP before but its one of my first picked CSUS. I was offered a 2,500 scholarship there.

Ramfan! LMAO!!!
