I don’t get what is taking them so much longer than last year. They started taking people off the waitlist before May 1. My friend was on the waitlist, then rejected later on so that gave me a little hope knowing that they are still in the process of admitting more students. UCD and UCI didn’t accept anyone off the waitlist this year it seems. I don’t think that is the same case for UCSC because I know at least 10+ people who applied to UCSC and got accepted, but SIRed to a different UC so there must be more spots open.
But remember, they accept like 3 times what they can actually handle. So just because someone declines to accept does not open up a spot.
Yep, we got slaughtered on the Davis forum. Still holding out hope for SC but I’m likely going to Long Beach. Wish I could change my name now lol

and ugh, the santa cruz wait is killing me.
hopefully uc san diego and santa barbara release their waitlists soon so it soon trickles down to us and more spaces open up for us waitlisted people.
I know Berkeley is still gonna accept more ppl off the waitlist/appeal too

Got rejected from Davis and I’m pretty sad so now my only hope is Santa Cruz but still not that hopeful for it 
Have a back-up plan ready, everyone. if you’re not already committed to a college, consider community college or a gap year!
My mom spoke to a few friends and they said colleges have a preference of admitting girls off the waitlist.

can someone call them tommorow? ask if they have a date they may release waitlisted folks. I have already called them a few times
I tweeted and messaged their admissions account on Twitter and Instagram so if they respond in any of those social media platforms, I’ll let you know what they say
@Crissymom That’s awfully discriminatory of you. Don’t be angry at those who were qualified to get in. I was waitlisted and while I view myself as a qualified candidate I still do not believe those who got in are undeserving. Given our current political climate, comments such as yours are unnecessary and unwelcome.
@Crissymom Taking DACA out of that comment was a good idea.
Just asked twitter UCSC about when the instate waitlist admissions are coming out and they said that “Waitlist admissions are occurring now through mid-June 2018.” Lets hope.
@ucstudent2022 she has a right to be mad. UCs are state funded because they’re supposed to serve us Californians. It’s not right for them to pick OOS/internationals over us. Their lust for tuition money caused them to betray their own people.
