UC Santa Cruz - What are my chances?

Hello!
I was wondering if someone could let me know if I have any chance of getting into UCSC?
-UC GPA: 3.5
-SAT: 1650
-4 APs, 2 Honors during high school
-AP English Lang and Comp exam score of 3, APES score of 2, planning to take AP Literature and AP Psychology exam this May.
-4 years cheer team, captain for one season
-8 semesters honor roll, 4 California scholarship federation (CSF aka 3.5 or higher gpa)
-first generation college student, low income, and single parent
-3 years of french and french club all 4 years with being president of the french club this year
-habitat for humanity club for 1 year
-60+ hours of community service
-2 jobs throughout high school (receptionist and sales associate)
-essays I would say a 10/10, unique
-live 30 mins away from campus
-major: psychology
I’ve already heard back from UCR, and was accepted. I know their acceptance rate is similar to UCSCs, so maybe there is a chance?

I know my SAT and GPA fall below the average but I was wondering if my EC’s, essays, first generation college student could help me out, this is my first choice school!

Your GPA is not below average. From the common data set for UCSC:

Percent who had GPA of 3.75 and higher – 16.8%
Percent who had GPA between 3.50 and 3.74 – 31.3%
Percent who had GPA between 3.25 and 3.49 – 29.0%
Percent who had GPA between 3.00 and 3.24 – 16.3%

Your SAT score is also not low, it is above the 25th percentile. Since you are a CA resident as well, who has already been admitted to UCR, I would say your chances are highly likely of being accepted. However, psychology might be impacted at UCSC, so that might be a tricky major to gain admittance to. Good luck!

@sophie9999 thank you!

I think UCSC could go either way since your GPA and SAT scores are below the averages along with applying to one of the top 5 most popular majors. Your EC’s and essays could bump up your chances. Please prove me wrong.
