Can we apply for them now? Or do we have to wait until we are accepted? Ive been accepted to my backup school(CSUs) n have been emailed to apply so im wondering if i should start looking into UC ones as well??

No - you have to wait. I read that they’ll notify you in mid spring or after acceptance, ect.

If someone gets financial aid, can he still apply for scholarships?!
And what are the requirements?! are they the same for all UCs, or different?!
I don’t know much about scholarships…althought for two straight semesters I got straight As at my community college, I never applied for it…

@Sonic23 - What CSU’s did you get an acceptance letter from??

And with UC’s you should apply after you get your acceptance/financial aid letter.

@ocnative Thought so but wasn’t sure

@Matt4200 CSULA CSUF & Cal Poly Pomona, waiting to hear from CSULB still. I’m actually pretty excited to have a backup plan(CPP) if the UCs deny me.

Did you have to do a supplemental app for them or no?

Cause I applied to a few CSU’s too but no reply if I’m accepted or rejected

@Matt4200 I did a supplemental application for CSULB and still haven’t heard back from them
the rest didn’t require one though. I heard from CSULA and CSUF in December and just heard last week from Cal Poly. Which did you apply to? Check Portals I was able to see I was accepted weeks before I even got an email

SFSU, CSUCI, and SDSU

@sonic23

Actually, I’m sure you can apply for some scholarships even before your admissions decision. It just depends with the UC. Keep an eye out on their emails. I just got an email from UCI to apply for the Stanley Behrens Foundation Scholarship. It just depends on the campus I guess?

My daughter just got an email from Cal to apply for a leadership scholarship. Does this mean she got in?

@anotherlamemom

I wouldn’t say that. Cal probably thinks she is a qualified applicant for that scholarship and suggested she apply, just in case she gets in at Berkeley.

I doubt Berkeley has gotten around to reading our applications yet, but I could be wrong.

Thanks, I think you’re right, although I do know they are reading the apps now, because several of her friends got a supplemental questionnaire.
