<p>I've been receiving scholarships from the UCs and I was wondering....do we apply even though we don't know if we're going there or not?</p>
<p>Yes, if you want to receive some free cash, you must apply by the deadline, even tho admissions decisions aren’t out until March.</p>

<p>Right-- but if you’re granted a scholarship at a UC, and decide not to go there, you can’t just ask for a check.</p>

<p>So you could apply for the scholarship “for nothing” if you don’t get into the school? Wouldn’t it be hard to decide which one to apply to because applying to all of them would be hard and you might not get into some of them and that would be considered a waste of time</p>

<p>If you don’t apply you won’t get any of them, whether you get in or not, only you can decide if the chance for free money is worth the time & effort.</p>

<p>I received the alumni scholarship for berkely, la, and davis so far.</p>
<p>Oh and you can find the scholarships online, or they send it to you by email.</p>
<p>How could you receive it when the deadlines are early February and no interviews will be conducted till April?</p>
