UC school help..

been doing some thinking and i think i have narrowed down where i would like to transfer to. i am at mt sac cc in southern ca and want to transfer to either UCSC or UCSB. i am going to be a political science major and i currently have a 3.5 gpa but i am going into my 2nd semester as a freshman so i definitely plan on bringing up my gpa as much as i am able to hopefully around a 3.7 or 3.8. i just wanted to know your guys opinion on which college would be better suited for me. i am very laid back and thought based on who i am these to schools would be best but just wanted to know your take. also are is there any things i should get involved in to help my chances

thanks

Would you rather…
U Can Study Buzzed/University of Casual Sex & Beer
or
U Can Study Cannabis

I’d say UCSC but both schools are typically laid-back. If you keep your grades up you could also try UCI/Davis and perhaps even LA/Berk.

oh i just chose those schools because they were behind ucb and ucla i didn’t think i would get in with a 3.5 it seems like most have around a 3.9 and up

If your GPA stays around a 3.5 +, then yes, you have a good chance of being admitted to the top UC’s for junior year. You have some time to visit the UC’s, so do that in the next year. Good luck!
