UC SCHOOLS: A-G requirements questions!!!

Okay, being OOS, I've had a difficult time wrangling with this whole a-g requirement concept.

Does anybody know if...

it's okay to split up the one year of art between two semesters; one taken junior year, the other taken senior year?

if a D or C- was gotten in Algebra II or AP U.S. History would retaking the class over the summer make up for the deficency?

(Not exactly replace the nearly failing grade, but prove that I am capable of sucess in these classes?)

I really, really really, really need to know.
I've absolutely, 100% messed up this past year in high school,
I just need to know if there's any way to reconcile my errors and even be considered by UC admissions people.

/=

i think it would be okay if you messed up freshman year. I dont think for anything else because you have to include you bad grade in your GPA, especially for harder UCs, like Berkley (which OOS gpa average is higher) UCLA, and UCSD

Yes, the one year of art can be taken in separate semesters IFF it was a one-year, two-semester course that you just happen to take over two academic years.

Yes, retaking courses is possible. But, I think that a C- will not be replaced by the higher grade in the UC gpa.

my school dosen’t really offer one year single discipline arts classes other than band and chior. everything else is ceramics 1, ceramics 2. or drawing 1, drawing 1. design, 3-d design. things like that. just single semester courses that are continuations of one another…

^^hmmm, how about AP Art History?

my school dosen’t offer AP art history… /=
it’s a relatively small private, catholic high school so the courses available to take are limited.

Why not ask your Guidance Counselor. That’s what they are there for.
