Does anyone know the ranking's for UC schools in terms of acceptance into Med school?

Out of state or in state?

UCLA, UCSF, UC Davis, and UCSD all have similar acceptance rates although UCLA, SF, and SD have slightly higher GPA/MCAT averages. UC Irvine seems to be the easiest one to get into.

Out of state. Right now I'm trying to weigh UCLA vs UCSD in terms of applying.

UCLA claims to demonstrate no in-state preference.

^^^ never heard that before.

I can assure you that it is extremely tough to get into UC's from out of state. The acceptance rates are on the order of 1-2% for out of staters. Roughly 8% for in state residents. I think Irvine was over 10% for CA residents the last time I checked.

Residence: No preference is given to state of residence. However many applicants come from California. Acceptees from California are more likely to matriculate at UCLA. Out of 145 freshman, 85 percent were from California.
