UC Schools

You only need 2 subject tests right? So it would pretty much be useless to take a 3rd subject test?

Also does anyone know the deadline for taking the last SAT for UC's? Is it December?

Yeah you need two though three won't hurt.

I would like to know the deadline as well.

Only two are needed. UC's accept scores through the December test date and there is no need to rush scores from that test (application deadline of Nov 30 is not the deadline for test scores).

If you take math make sure you take Math II SAT II
UC schools no longer accept Math I

r u serious? i took the 1c as a soph and got a 780

this might be a dumb question but the application deadline is NOv 30 but dont you have to put your SAT scores on the app? So if you took it in Dec what would you put?

i guess you send those scores directly to the schools.

but on the app itself that is due on Nov 30 it ask for your highest SAT scores... So how would later test such as dec be considered in the addmission process?

On app, you just put scores you have to date, or state test date or leave blank if you do not have the scores yet. The UC's take test scores through the December testing date and they do not start considering admission decisions until after those arrive. What you put on the app is not what controls the decision. And, as noted above, the UC's do not accept the Math IC so that IC the poster above took in sophomore year is of no value in applying to the UC's.

what sat II's are the easiest? and is college board the only way to sign up for those?

The College Board has the monopoly on SAT II's and thus you must go through it. What SAT II may be easy for some is harder for others and thus there is not a true "easiest" although foreign language tests taken by native speakers come close to being considered the easiest for many of them.

No SATII is "easiest". It depends on your strengths and how much you have learned. But I would suspect, as drusba pointed out, that if you are a native fluent Korean spaker for example, that Korean subject test would be quite easy.

oh guys..I just got unacceptable score from PSAT....I"m really scared.....but I"m still freshmen...so is that all right?......but I took Alg 2 for Freshmen year and I took PSAT test..I feel like I just understand only something not all......I'm really scared of it...OMg...I wanna get into UCLA...

What is an unacceptable score?
You're still a freshman so you shouldn't worry too much... you have two years to study.

And how did you just get your score? It should have been about 6 months ago...
