what does everyone talk about this rule, i don't see it saying in my admissions contract that i must keep a 3.0 and above in order to not risk my admissions. i'm probably gonna get around a 2.9 this semester and in the contract it says that you must notify the UC unless you get a D or an F, or if you gpa drops significantly.
Can anyone give more feedback?

are you going to cal? if you are it's in myBerekeleyApplication... under the Conditions of Admissions... the GPA part should be the 4th item.

For UCSD it said above a 2.0 in your last term for me. It's different for every school i think.

Anybody know about UCLA please?

It's 2.0 for UCSD, stay above a 2.8 overall. Im trying not to try but I keep acing my midterms. I live such a hard life, sigh.

sociology is tough stuff

ucla just says a C in my remaining classes which would be a 2.0

Yeah, I'm curious about this too. Nowhere in my Admission Conditions letter does it say maintain a 3.0 average. It says, "Maintain your grade point average," I assume that means, don't completely mess up. And it says to report any D's and F's. Nowhere does it say maintain a 3.0 ? (talking about UCLA by the way). Is this just a CC myth started by some overly neurotic applier?

The report changes thing says you only have to report if you get a D, F or 3 or more Cs, so that's refreshing

I mean, is there anyone on this site that has been rescinded from admission because of one C? or a 2.8 gpa for their last semester? Where did this rumor start?

I think someone posted a while back that their application got rescinded because of a few C's, but she was a high school student so I'm sure different standards apply. I wouldn't worry too much about it...I think we are all just paranoid about everything related to school. :) Just stay away from D's and F's and don't drop any required classes.

That's true, i thank all of you guys who have given their opinions. I'm definitely more optimistic towards my finals. No Ds or Fs, and no more than 2 Cs and we should all be fine with admissions at UCLA!

I think that high school kid that got rescinded also got lower than 3.0 though. I mean, the Cs certainly didn't help him, but they don't seem like the direct cause.

i don't know, but the berkeley conditions say you must have a 3.0 semester gpa at least w/nothing lower than a C.
