man dude just chill out and smoke a bong man and the stress will disappear for like 2 minutes.

ok bro...this is why i dont want to go to ucsc!!!!

lol
you made me laugh, even though i will go to SC if i dont get accepted in davis lol

has anyone done the guaranteed transfer thing? i did it for UCSB but it's still pending. i want to get into UCLA, thats my first choice. And I appliced to UCSD, UCI, and UCR. but i don't care so much to go to those schools. my best friend is at ucsd but i want to stay closer to home. i wish they'd hurry up and either accept or reject me. if i got rejected then at least i can move on and stop checking the admission sites every day!!

Yeah, I did the guaranteed transfer thing with UCSB too. I heard on the 23rd (history major).

did u check the website or get a snail mail acceptance first?

What is everyones top choice, gpa, and major?

Still waiting on LA and SD. Just found out from SB today. Its my 3rd choice and safest safety, but its nice to know that no matter what I'm in somewhere.

La, #1 choice, SD/USC tied for #2.

Communications major. 3.85 gpa. TAP.

I am sure now that I do not have the first priority in ALL UCs I've applied to, despite my high GPA because

I lack 2 major courses

I don't have IGTEC (I did major courses only)

Blackdream - what do you mean you lack 2 major courses? How did this happen? Counselor screwed you?

Anyway... BUMP!

Blackdream, no worries...I believe everybody here have at least 2 major classes missing. All the UCz have their own major requirements...so it is hard to fulfill all their req...moreover, several courses have no course equivalents...so don't worry

i have all my major classes completed.... does this mean i have priority?does it sort of cancel out my average gpa (3.1)---i dont think i'll ever find out about ucsb!!

I'm still pending everywhere... ugh.

I have a guaranteed transfer agreement with UCSD as a Cognitive Science major, so that is probably where I'll end up going. I also applied to UCLA and Berkeley as a philosophy major but my stats are very unimpressive (~3.4 GPA, little extracurriculars) so I highly doubt that they will accept me. It would be nice to get some closure, however.

I also completed the IGETC and all the courses at assist, for Davis... (lower division prep)
but also my GPA is kind of low (3.1)

do i have any chances?

biochemist, wasn't my conselor's fault. due to budget cut, those courses (organic chemistry) are GONE for this quarter, also it's STRONGLY recommended, not required.

if i choose to take them, I will have to wait another year. what a waste for my time.

If you completed all the lower division, then you definitely have a better chance @ UCz. esp UCSD and UCB likes students who have completed their prereqz.

yea.. but what really matters on an application--
1)gpa
2)completion of igetc and pre-reqs
3)race/ethn.-- income, 1st gen. ect.
4)e.c's
5 essay?

thats what i'd figure??!!!1

ethnicity?
well, im the first in my whole family to even graduate from high school, and Im hispanic. Income is above average... (which sucks because i receive little financial aid)

CCIsPrison: GPA and Class completition first (I am guessing class completition takes precedence as SB will take u in if you have 2.8+ but if you are missing more than 2 you will probably get rejected.) Then comes clubs, essay, work etc. (in no particular order).

well... gpa is ok... in regards to sb.. i will have completed my igetc and all required lower division classes... i work 20+ hours a work and have pretty good e.c's and community service..essay--soso-- i should stop worrying and just wait it out-- a wise man once said
