UC TAG class change

Hello, I submitted my TAG to UC Irvine well before the due date. I just now found out that one of my planned courses for the Spring 2012 semester will not be offered at my school during that semester. Do I need to contact UCI and inform them about the change?

I believe there will be opportunities to change it. You don’t have to call. We are all in the same boat. I listed the classes I have planned. If one isn’t offered, or it conflicts with a required class, or any number of things, people will be making changes with their spring schedules. I have heard that when we update our UC application that they update the TAg application. Maybe someone can confirm that for us.

No, you are not held responsible for planned courses at all. Unless you make some changes to THIS semester courses, aka drop it, you don’t have anything to worry about :)

You have an opportunity to update your planned courses for spring 2012 and to update the schools on the grades you received for fall 2011.

When the UC approves your TAG, they will make your admission contingent on a few parameters. For me at UCSD, it was completion of IGETC and cummulative gpa of at least 3.0 by the end of Spring 2011, but some are even more specific. For example: if you put you were going to be taking classes X, Y, and Z in the Spring. They can say your TAG will only be valid if you complete classes X and Z before Summer 2012. So if you are unable to take those classes, it won’t affect your overall admission chances, but it may affect your TAG eligibility.

Except I forgot a W from a lab class and a history class that I withdrew from from a different CC yrs ago. I am all legit as far as my grades with a 3.6 TAP certified, but I have been getting the run around at UCI and IVC about what to do about changing it. They say to put it in the comments on your real app for UC in Nov. I just want some confirmation from someone at either school that its been changed or w.e or that it isnt a big deal and it is remedied by adding it to comments. Seems like noone knows, claim the CC has to maybe ask uci to change or notify them of it, thats from the UCI rep at my school. any suggestions or info?
