<p>@ennanozid Hey did you see the other biology majors on the UC TAG app? I seem to only remember seeing biological sciences for Bio. Now I see that they offer biochemistry and molecular biology, which sounds a lot more interesting… And do you also have to get a B in Calc 1 or 2? Its weird because it says I Can get a C in all other major requirements except either Calc 1 or 2, i thought that was kind of strange.</p>

<p>I’ve seen my friends’ TAG letters from UCD and UCSC and there is so much hope in those letters compared to UCI’s. It pretty much says they ARE in. UCI’s decision on the other hand can go either way.
Can anyone explain why this is?

<p>Hello. my uc davis tag was accepted and now im doing my uc app. I want to add another course into the winter would that affect my tag…I would need it for the major I want to apply with at ucla</p>

<p>I’m currently a sophomore at a CC who is Tagging for bus econ for UCI. However I screwed up on my macro econ final and my grade might drop to a C. The UCI website says the requirement for bus econ is a B in both Macro and Micro, and I currently fulfill all their requirements except I may possibly get a C in macro. So I was just wondering what you guys think my chances are of getting into UCI (with or without tag) if I were to get a C in macro. My current GPA is a 3.65 which is probably not that competitive

<p>A C in a required prereq is never good. This is worse because their site specifically says those classes " must complete the following major-preparation courses, with a grade of B or better". I honestly don’t think your chances are good. </p>

<p>In theory you could do that, but when UC Irvine sees 2 sets of transcripts with the same class they’re going to count the C, which is the 1st grade, not the second grade. </p>
<p>You would want to talk to a counselor at Irvine to see if they have any viable options to offer you.</p>
<p>You cannot retake C grades. However, talk to the prof. You say you “may” drop to a C. He might allow some extra credit to get you to a B-. Throw yourself at his mercy.</p>
I have a question. Since I applied to UCI TAG
Do I only have to update my Fall grades, and Spring courses in my UC application?
Or do I also have to go to the TAG website to update it as well.
UC App only. I believ the TAG website is frozen on what you submitted in September (but I am not sure)
