I’m a current sophomore at UCSC but I want to transfer. I was wondering if I were to attend a CC would my UCSC Gpa impact my transfer GPA? I’m hovering around a low 2.7 at UCSC right now due to personal issues distracting me from my studies. I think that it would impact my GPA if applying to a UC but what about privates or other schools? I’m looking into trying to transfer to USC, Wake Forest, Chapman, Santa Clara and some others. Any help/advice would greatly be appreciated
when you apply to your college after the CC, they will ask you for all prior colleges attended and either a transcript or self-report of your grades. How a private calculates your transfer gpa is up to them, but I would expect they would base it on all classes taken.
the only way to get a definitive answer is to call or email each of the schools you are considering.
