UC to CC to CSU

I am currently attending UCSC and will be entering my junior year in the fall but I still don't know what I want to study and none of the majors at UCSC seem to really interest me and I feel that if I continue at UCSC I am simply wasting my time and money. So I plan on dropping out and attending a CC while I figure what I want to study. I don't want to return to UCSC after though instead I want to go to CSU-Northridge because I feel it has more options for me (in terms of majors). Sorry for such a long intro but anyways my question is: will the fact that I attended a UC before CC affect my chances of getting into CSUN? What is my recommended path in this situation?

That

and that CSU Northbridge

doesn’t compute. You haven’t shared with us how you are doing academically, socially or personally at UCSC.

Moving down two notches to a CC and ending up at a CSU while not being sure of what you want to study does not seem like a recipe for figuring out the answer. It’s hard to imagine what CC courses you will take since the CCs are meant to prepare students to entry to a UC or CSU.

Consider taking a year or two off from UCSC and finding a job, or an internship or volunteer assignment. Come back after a year or two to complete your degree,

Just a heads up for you CSUN will be accepting Spring transfers for Spring 2014. Apply in August and I’m pretty sure you’ll get in. Here’s the link that says they’re accepting transfers: [Transfer Student Admissions Criteria](http://www.csun.edu/anr/applytrf.html)
