UC to UC transfer app questions..

Hey guys I’m currently a sophomore at UCR and I’m looking to transfer to UCLA or UCSD for Fall 2008. I just have a few questions here:

On the application under awards and activities, should I be inputting my previous highschool stuff? This part of the application puzzles me because I guess they assume the applicants are in highschool. So should I enter in my highschool stuff, my current college activities/awards, or not enter in anything? This part is weird because they have checkboxes for the highschool years you did activities and had awards but there is no checkbox for college…

For the academic history section (where you enter in the courses you took and plan to take), they want me to enter “planned courses prior to transfer.” This was a bit confusing because I don’t know for sure what I will be taking Sping 2008 since the course catalog for Spring 2008 isn’t even up yet (on my school website). I just entered in some classes based on the Winter 2008 catalog. Is this alright?

I have also heard that for Fall 2008 transfers we only have to do 2 out of the 3 personal statement essays. Is this true or just hearsay?

Any other tips regarding the transfer progress (especially if you have tips for UC to UC transfers) is highly appreciated! Thanks so much!

bump......

Even though I’m not with UCLA or UCSD I’ll try to answer your questions:

List any awards or activities that are important to you. If they occurred after high school check the after 12th grade box and list the number of years.

Please list the courses, at this moment, you plan to take. Part of the application update you will complete in the winter will include updating your winter/spring term courses as well as your fall grades.

All applicants must answer 2 of 2 personal statement questions. The UC system changed the personal statement prompts for fall 2008 applicants from the usual three prompts to only two different prompts. Please do not answer last year’s prompts and do not confuse the additional comments section with the personal statement.
